New 66 joining the stable
I recently sold my 54 after many years of enjoyment. I wanted something a little more suitable for some road trips, but probably not as extensive as Jack has taken. I found a yellow 66 convertible, 350 horse, power steering, power brakes, power windows, teak and tele, and two tops. It has many Top Flights as well as a Duntov award from NCRS and then has done some road tours. I took my own advice and hired an expert (66 NCRS judge) to take a look for me. Who knew that the exhaust overspray on early 66's is different from later cars. Anyway it checked out and Intercity has been contracted to bring it up to Maine. When it arrives I will share some pictures and will also change my avatar. It has been several years since the last midyear so I'm pretty excited about getting back in the seat.

A friend with a '54 asked me to follow him to a car show.
It was an hour ride.
I think I nodded off three times before we got there.
I'm sure you'll enjoy your new '66.
Don't forget the pics!

I need to plug Intercity Lines. They have been great before so I used them again. I wired the money this afternoon to the seller and then called Intercity. They are picking up the car tomorrow. Is that great service or what? In the last couple of years I have sold a few cars going out of state and the transporters were found by brokers. I cringed as these cars were loaded up but I had my money and I didn't pick the drivers. Outfits like Intercity know what they are doing and never fail to impress me with their professionalism.

Congratulations on your '66. Sounds like a great car. Looking forward to pictures when it arrives.
I've used Intercity twice and I agree with you. Great outfit with attention to detail.

Congratulations!
The 66 is the zenith of the mid year series.
Just be sure to drive around the moose I didn't get.
Enjoy the 75 mph speed limit as well.

Well it's here and better than I expected. Intercity picked it up the day after I wired the money and delivered it a few days later without issues or drama. Today was a bright clear Fall day here in Maine and it went out for its first ride with me at the wheel. Everything works just like it should and that 350 horse motor pulls like crazy. Actually it even has more guts than my 54 if you can believe that. Attached are a couple of pictures.
