Default 58 - Soft top frame hitting body

I noticed that my soft top frame is hitting the body on the drivers side, but not on the passengers. The reason is, the jam is angled inward on the passenger side and it's almost 90 degrees to the frame on drivers side.

I have enclosed some pictures to show this angle but it's hard to really see, yet it is quite evident if you're standing there looking at it.

Anyone else have this issue? I'm not sure which side is "correct". The first picture is the drivers, the second the passenger

It appears that you need to loosen the bolts and pull up on the drivers side. Do you have the doors with the windows installed so you can check fitment between the top and side windows? That is the way you want to adjust it before you even think of installing a new top on the frame.

To get the frame to fit the windows, this is when it hits. If I move it, as you suggest, it wouldn't fit the window.

Is this a 2-top car? If so, put the hardtop on and check the drivers side window fit which may not be high enough. If it is a soft top-only car. you may need to adjust the window stop on the drivers side upward to allow the frame to clear the body. Without being there, not much else to say...

The windows fit the hardtop and soft top. What I ended up doing was just trimming this back a little.

It looks like you have the rear bow attached to the outside of the frame on one side and the inside on the other

Thanks...I caught that myself after looking at it closer, but that's a pretty good catch on your part!
