Chris, As much as I love an LS sitting between the fenders of a Corvette, that original engine shure looks great. Hopefully that FI will cure fuel boiling in hot weather.

Thanks Earl and trust me, if it wasn’t matching the 327 nor the 63 frame would be sitting under this body right now. I’m sure the quick fuel carb would have been fine, especially with the way I have the fuel line set up, but after reading all the great reviews over a years period on this new holley system, I couldn’t resist, especially at 2k total invested.
If this system works well, I’m going to convert my 289FIA Kirkham and my father’s 66 427 Corvette tonthe terminator EFI which looks like a double pumper holley.

Hope you are doing well. Send me a message or give me a call and let me know what you decided on your 67 Coupe.

I’ve completed the wiring and it was pretty basic.
The tank kit arrived today and I’m impressed for the price. The silver powder coating is top notch. Quite honestly, at $580, for the powdercoated baffled tank, sending unit, fuel pump, new straps, gaskets, etc. I’m not sure how they make any money.

Here is the first run video. I’ll post a full review once I have more time to play with it on Monday. So far I’m impressed.

I have the computer sensor in the intake. I put the gauge thermostat in the radiator where the fan sensor previously was. I know that’s not going to be very accurate, but it’s the only choice currently without swapping the intake. I have a dewitts aluminum radiator with a single electric fan. That fan is now controlled by the Holley Sniper EFI via its sensor in the intake.

Thanks. The best part is I screwed up and didn’t fasten the distributor cap down. You should hear it now. I’m truly impressed that it runs so well on first start up.

I finally sent the wiper motor off to have it restored. The turn around was extremely quick and it functions well.
I did not have any help, so I installed it last week by myself with the help of s 1x4. Good times!!!

Just received the headlamp motors back from Dick at VV. They did a great job.

I set the camber yesterday and went for a decent test drive today. WOW is all I can say! This car is very fast and the ride quality is outstanding.
I’m really impressed with the van steel semi coil overs and the fiberglass rear spring. It takes big bumps like a champ!!!
I am also very impressed with the holley Sniper EFI. It’s taking some time to learn and it still runs a little rough when cold, but with every drive it gets better. The acceleration is fantastic. The lokar cable throttle pedal worked out great and it has a really nice feel.
This car is going to be fun to drive all year round thanks to the upgrades. I love not worrying about the temp thanks to the dewitts radiator and electric fan, which is controlled by the holley computer.
Also, the wilwood front disc brake conversion is fabulous as well. The car feels like it has 4 wheel discs, even though I retained the stock drums in the rear.

If it’s not obvious, I just couldn’t be happier with how the car has turned out. I hope to keep it for a long time!

Here is a picture I took after my test drive today. The car has a little rake in the stance, but I like it. 26.5” in the rear and 25” in the front when measured from the ground to the fender lips.

Congratulations Chris. Another fantastic build. Enjoy and strap that little guy in safely when he is riding shotgun.

It’s not over yet, but I can see a bright light at the end of the tunnel now. I don’t think I will ever be able to save another one like this. It’s just too time consuming to round up all the missing parts. I could have built two restomods in the time this car has consumed to build. BTW, little guy has a baby sister on the way and she is due in late July. Also, the bumpers from your 63 are on this car now. I had them replated by Paul’s chrome and they look fantastic!

It’s the little things that add up! Want to know the quality of a restoration or restomod??? Inspect the back side of less revealed parts.
