IT'S ALIVE!!!
First Start is official. Still lots of tuning to take care of though.
The Gardner N11 Exhaust system sounds awesome, the way the option should sound, not like the Corvette Central or Allen's "off road" Mufflers

Just FYI, check the oil pressure line fitting in the back of the engine before installing the intake because it's about impossible to remove with the intake in place. I removed the intake, replaced the fitting, and reinstalled the intake this morning. I found that the engine builder had not blocked the crossover and that one of the carb stud holes was drilled all the way through into a runner, so it's a good thing it needed to come off.
I made a read floor liner out of DEI lite under carpet insulation. It helped even out all of the carpet for a nice smooth look.
I'm waiting on a few parts to show up, but after they arrive, first start will only be a few hours away.

My original heater box was not as bad as that one and it took close to 40 hours. Then there are the custom gaskets made by a friend that was in the business at that time as the available ones from all vendors fit like Krap. New heater core, pressure test before installing.

I kind of wish I had just added The vintage air system at this point.
I'm using the original heater core. I had it tested at a local radiator shop and all is well. Thanks for the tip though! Fortunately I've only had to use a reproduction once. Generally, the originals are easily repaired.

After 3 full days of working in the inner and outer heater boxes, they are finally installed. The Dewitts radiator showed up on Wednesday, but they forgot to install the sensor bung, so I had to spend an extra 65 dollars having one welded in place. Dewitts has been a wonderful company to do business with in the past, but this time was different. I was really disappointed with the communication and the attitude of the lady who followed up with me on my order.

Ok.. If you aren't in any hurry to do that, I will probably be going that way, although not til after Memorial Day sometime next year. I'll take some pictures and send them to you, assuming she is on the up and up.

Ok! I really appreciate it and trust me when I say that I think it is very kind of you to be willing to go out of your way to help me. I guess I'm just a bit on edge about trusting strangers lately after being hosed on two cars and a few paint jobs recently.

It's a quick fuel 600cfm carburetor. While I have had great luck with the quick fuel carburetors I have purchased in the past, this thing was either set up completely wrong from the factory or someone screwed with it and then returned it to Summit racing(I'm guessing the later). After fighting with it on another engine, I ended up having Lars Grimsrud go through it and he found that all jets were wrong as well as several of the air bleeds.
The black coating is supposed to be thermal coating.

I've been working away on small items this week...heater cables, emblems, switches, steering column, small interior trim, fresh air vents, wiring the electrical fan, door handles, etc.
