How much did Mecum make on the no sale?

Is it a flat fee for all cars, or is it rated in some way?

Thank you for not taking 98K. How was the rest of the Mecum experience? I'd like to go to one of the big auctions just as an observer but the commentators sometimes even state that there are so many people there it is hard to walk around.

I been to a few, They are a lot of fun, even if you are just there to watch people with money buy nice cars. The plus side is that you get to see many different cars in pristine condition.

I'm surprised the "Dealmaker" didn't work you into a selling situation beings you hit 100K. He hates giving up at least the buyers commission.
Good for you. Continue to enjoy your gorgeous 63.

If you have the right car there is no seller's fee. The auctions are competing for the really great cars. There are even stories of the auction house guaranteeing that you will leave the auction with a specific amount of money if you consign your car to them.
Here's an article I did about the auction houses about 18 months ago.
