Default 63 swc electrical gremlins

Just completed the cluster install, now the trouble shooting begins. Am I missing something obvious?

1) Put in light switch. When I pull it out half way, driving lights (front and rear) come on. When I pull it out full way, rear driving lights stay on, front driving lights go out, BUT headlights don't come on. I tried another switch, same thing. All fuses looked fine.

2) Horn doesn't work.

3) Clock doesn't work.

4) Radio, fan, wipers, interior lights, cluster lights, signal lights, clock light all work. light buckets come up and down fine.

Is there an obvious connection missing?

Jim,

I'm in exactly the same place with mine and have some of the same symptoms. What I found was the dimmer switch on the floor was bad. Power was getting to the switch but not coming out either side. That would be the first thing I suggest you check. That would address the light issue, sorry, haven't fixed my horn yet.

Head lights sound like dimmer switch, check connection. Step on the switch with the switch on Fast at lot of times. Check power to clock at the clock, they don't work most of the time.

Horn, Try a ground jumper across your rag joint under the hood

Front driving lights are supposed to go out when headlights are on.

There should be a ground path through the steering rag joint, if that is corroded the horns may not work.
