Sold the '65
Sold the car I was never going to get rid of
The ’65 is SOLD.
Was NOT looking to sell but new owner was persistent and gave me my asking price.
It’s new home will be in Milwaukee, WI
After selling my LS3 powered ’79 a couple of week ago and only having ’31 Ford left I need another Vette
Found what I have been looking for, for quit a long time. After a lots of negotiations finally purchased from fellow forum member.
1969 Vette Corvette Triple Black 350/350 4 Speed – PS – PB – PW – Tile/Tele. Frame off about 7 or so year ago.
Needs A/C which will be on its way soon. Also need to decide on factory side pipes or stock under car originals or leave on after markets.
More info after I have time to round up parts and time to build web site

George,
I like your taste. The new owner got a well sorted out, great looking coupe. That '69 looks stunning! Knowing you, any upgrades will be first class.

Your '65 was a great looking head turning car and your new '69 is equally as attention getting.
Good luck with your new ride.

C2 of the Year Finalist - Modified 2020
George, your effort to modernize your '65 was ground breaking and served many of us. Someone now has a great car. Your replacement is very nice. The Redlines against the black look gooood! Enjoy the new ride and challenges. Dennis

I always thought your '65 was in my top 10 of midyears here on the forum. She was/is a beauty. Color, wheels and side pipes Someone got a great looker.

68-72's are my strong next favorite after C2's, I had a 69 years ago. Nice replacement since someone "paid your number" on the '65. I always vote for undercar exhaust since you asked.

VERY sharp '69!
I always liked the look of black on these cars, but was not so thrilled about maintaining it.

I sure will miss the 65 and like I said before if I had the room I would have like to bought it.
I look forward to seeing the 69. Now the big question, do you want a die cast replica of your car on a key chain or without?

Nice 65. What lamp did you use for the BU lamps? I have already done the LED taillight

I'm pretty sure my 65 car will be sold off next summer as well. I have been chasing a 69 427/390 roadster with 50k miles original Monaco orange, sweet original car.
That 69 black car looks pretty darn good, congrats

It's tough when people throw stupid money at you to try to get you to part with your car . Almost sold my 64 like that earlier in the year (just barely resisted). I had a 70 T-top before the 64 and really enjoyed driving that car, that's one I would like back. The new 69 looks great B/T/W. Good luck with it George, and thanks for all the posts and pictures from the 65 restoration that helped many of us over the years. Pilot Dan

Yeah - its a tough call (beautiful C2 BTW).
I've had two insistent buyers making offers on my split window...
I didn't even tell the wife about the last one cuz she would have said I was crazy not to do it. Just not ready after owning the car less than 1-1/2 years...

Black C3 it doesn't get any better. I like the factory side pipes on a 69 myself.
