Default 1959 on E-bay

What do you think of this car, local to me, is the Vin correct for the year( it's atached to the drivers side door frame but appears to be just a strip of tin no CHEVROLET above the number). Can't do a link (?) but this is the item number on e-bay 131389500958. Dealer selling has no info on motor other than late model 350, are those valve covers usually for ZZ4 motor?

Claims to have a "original Muncie 4 speed".
The car actually came with a Borg Warner T10.

Not a horrible car but here are some of my observations. The front fender stainless trim looks weird where it raps around the front of the wheel opening. It's missing the trim pieces where the hardtop receivers would be. Wrong motor, wrong tranny no stainless ignition covers, aftermarket aluminum radiator, alternator in place of an original generator which drives the tach. The trunk is a mess, no spare tire or jack shown. I stopped looking at this point because the Buy it now price of $50K seems high to me. I'm sure others with a better eye than mine will point out other problems.

No arm rests.........? Door panel trim broken / missing on pass side door. Door lock levers missing. Whoever put it together may not have had very much experience with C1's as evidenced by the fender molding.

I'd pass this one and keep looking.......

I don't understand the VIN #. Over 100,000 built?

Not completely sure but some of the pics seem to show the rear deck ferrules for the removable hardtop but I don't see any mention of a hardtop with this Vette. Maybe they do have it and just didn't mention it. Considering a decent solid axle Vette hardtop can be around $3K, it couldn't hurt to ask about it. Also, didn't see any pics of the undercarriage.

Decided to walk after quickly checking car, VIN and tag are a problem, was looking at it as a driver. Was unable to get the car on a lift, although the seller would make arrangements to do that. Underside of car has ALOT of undercoating, looks like it may have been that way for years, chrome is excellent, stainless very well polished. Thanks to those that responded, helped me walk away.

Pretty strong bidding considering the car.

Shoot - I've seen C1 basket cases bring $25K as restomod donor bodies more than once. $35K for a runner isn't all that out-of-line IMO.

That's the old repro fender molding that doesn't fit right. The new stuff has that problem corrected.
