Why can't you use the wheels that came with the car, aren't they ok with the existing fenders and flares ?

Congratulations on winning that fight. That's an inspiration to all of us. In comparison finishing this project won't be as difficult. Good luck going forward and keep the updates coming.

Robert, your car will look bitchin too. Cannot wait to see it.
I actually own the car now Rudy was my neighbor as a kid. I use to go to his house/shop to stare at it and clean it all the time. I was finally able to have my dream car as Rudy finally decided to sell it to me 7 years ago, sadly. I even had him sign the glove box door and told him his pride and not would never be sold, he was like a second dad to me.
The wheels are Joengbloed racing wheels and the flares were modified quite a bit, I do have molds for them and have built a few sets for friends.
I get a few people saying why would sp.eone ruin a car like this, they don't understand it was done in 64 and was purchased to race. It has 41k original miles and I just love it.
Sadly Rudy passed away a few years ago he was a great, smart and kind man, if you knew or met him you'd agree

Thanks Dave

Hey Dave,

If people say that, they can just move along. Funny thing is that many times, people who walk by and make a negative comment, end up walking out to the parking lot and get into their modern truck. They don't even own a classic car, let alone begin to understand the history of some of these old classics.

Your car looks frigging incredible! To each their own, but how could this not get your testosterone going? Hope it runs as good as it looks.

Pat

I run the same rims on mine, very rare, very lightweight! I have known your car since my earliest stints in mine up with the NCCA club and events back in the early 80s.

Frame is powdercoated, suspension and steering is rebuilt using Urethane Bushings and adjustable rear control arms as I wanted to keep the road racing theme. Headers and sidepipes are included and show no sign of prior use.
