fuel sending unit 1962
Does anyone have a diagram for the fuel sending unit. Primarily, I am looking for where the one rubber washer goes. I cannot find my AIM to reference. Also should all of the bolts for the fuel sending unit have a rubber grommet?
I think I found my issue with the reproduction fuel sending unit. The float bowl was full of fuel. I have an original bowl which I know does not leak. The other fuel sending units were too far gone to use.
Thanks in advance!

Zip Corvette has a decent pic of the sending unit and orientation to the tank. I didn't use any gasket sealer on the rubber supplied gasket and it sealed just fine. I also recommend their screw kit w/ rubber washers, they seal better.

Now, to my second question is there is a copper washer with a rubber seal on one side. Where does this copper washer go?
The float was completely full so luckily I have an original one which is good. That's why it kept saying "empty".
The picture does not show what I am looking for. Is this washer for the ground or power? I guess that's what I am asking about.

I have the screws (one is missing the gasket). I must have over tighten down the screws. I will replace the one missing gasket.

I checked the fuel sending unit. It looks fine. Power is getting to the sender. I read ohms across the terminals on the sender.
I disconnected the brown wire and looked at the gauge. It did not go to full on the gauge.
Today I am going to create the variable resistor tester to make sure the problem is with the gauge.
