Default Nassau blue paint versus Marina blue

Hey folks,
Wondering if 66 Nassau blue is darker or lighter than 67 Marina blue?
I have looked at a number of cars from both years, but they have never been together in the same lighting and who knows if they have been repainted with correct mix or not.
Thanks
Jim

Not quite. Though they have the same trim tag code they have different DuPont paint color codes. The Marina is a shade or so darker

I have a Marina Blue 67

To me, the Nassau blue is a bit brighter, a bit "cleaner" blue....

Its like they are both the same Caribbean ocean... but Nassau is the color it looks on a nice sunny day... the Marina, same water with storm clouds coming... a bit darker.

remember light, how the painter sprays it and how its mixed all come into play here. its more fun when you go to a big corvette show and you find many of the "same" color cars parked beside each other and you will notice none of them match

You can mix both formulas 10 times and every car will be a different shade, some Nassau cars will be darker than marina cars, I have seen them side by side at many shows.

Default 65 Nassau / 67 Marina

My buddy has a '67 that is Marina Blue and my '65 is Nassau. We always thought they were the same color until the day we finally parked them side-by-side.

Marina left, Nassau right
