That Single Toothed Mossfish needs to be dumped back into the ocean. Truly the Neptune Edition. Absolute junk, like the '63 posted before it. Through ignorance and neglect, man can accomplish much.

Exported when new to south Africa. Painted there to use as a show car. Paint over 50 years old. Still looks great.

I wouldn't necessarily do it to a car today, but one that has been preserved like this one appears to be, deserves to remain just as it is.
If people don't understand the custom originality of your car, then they can just move on.

Since I see non-Corvettes listed, My 67 Malibu. 18.000 miles. Won best un-restored many years back at the Chevelle Nationals. 100%original paint except stinger hood,[I have the original.]
Since, I pulled the 283, 3 on the tree and installed a L-88 427 automatic on the column. Didn't have to drill even one hole. Runs high 11:00's

Original black replaced by patina. California drag car from new complete with wheelie bar brackets. Came with 1968 L-88 engine. I bet it was a terror. Has its own security team.

My grandmother used to say there is a chair for every ***. I guess you could say that about sums up this thread, I have to figure out how to post pics, My 65 has its share of cracks and nicks, from 10' away its amazing, but its mine and im very happy with it, I have gone through every inch of the car with the exception of paint, and I agonize over it less and less after reading and viewing some of these beautiful cars. My fear has always been if I paint it I wont drive it, and these cars was originally built to drive.

Amen brother! When looking for my most recent purchase I looked for this kind of car purposely. You can buy them for less, you don't stress over an expensive paint job worrying about that first scratch that is going to send you into orbit. I have people tell me my 5-10 footer is beautiful everyday and ask if I restored it or if it is original. The vast majority of people out there are not as **** as most on this site. In fact, you see comments on here that cars always look better in pictures than in person. That is because the pictures show them from 5-10 feet away. Only on CLOSE personal inspection do we see the difference. I will be willing to bet that MOST people on this site buy scratch and dent products when they are offered to them at a discount, why should it be any different with a 50-60 year car?

Here is my contribution...
This is our 1967 Corvette L36 Survivor. Lyndale blue on teal with a white top. Has ECL code on trim tag. Born with OEM motor/trans/rear. No hit body, original paint. The first few photos are from when we first located it. The photo with the garage doors open are from when we exhumed the car after sitting from 1979-2017. The final photos are from the NCRS Regional show in Altoona, PA where we scored a 4-Star Bowtie sign off August 2017. No polish whatsoever is on that car. It was clean with soap water and clay only.
The Camaro is our 1969 Z28. It is Jerry MacNeish certified with a build sheet. Born with original motor/trans/rear. LeMans blue/white houndstooth, OEM tags, flat hood, no spoiler car (rear spoiler was added very early in its life). We added the round spoke NOS Cragars, tow tabs, square tube Lakewood traction bars and 1/4 vent window decals. The car gets more attention than any frame off, show winning cookie cutter car I've owned. At 145k original miles, holes in the fenders, quarters, trunk floor, and cabin floor, I can say with utmost confidence, I'll never restore it. It puts the fattest smile on my face!!!
The survivors tell the best stories. We're always preserving history.
Enjoy,
Dan
