Default F70-15 or G70-15 Redlines Tires for a 1967 ?

We have Rallye Wheels for this '67 undergoing restoration. We'd like to get the largest size tire possible for it using stock Rallye Wheels. We like the look of the Firestone Wide Oval F70-15 Redlines. I know these work on a '67 we have here. Could a G70-15 fit?

https://www.cokertire.com/tires/styl...l-redline.html

In 1967 the stock tire was 7.75-15. In 1968, the F70-15 was the stock tire. In 1973, the stock tire was a G70-15.

F70-15
Tread Width: 6.50
Section Width: 8.30
Overall Diameter: 26.90

G70-15
Tread Width: 6.70 (.2" wider than F70-15)
Section Width: 8.50 (.2" wider than F70-15)
Overall Diameter: 27.50 (.6" taller than F70-15)

Will the G70-15 tire fit all 4 positions on a 1967 convertible without fear of hitting the body, frame or trailing arms?

Thanks,
Rich (tire research weary)

And in 68 the wheels where 15x7 and 69 on up where 15x8. Where as 67 was 15x6. Why on earth would you keep bias tires on the car If you want judging points those non stock tires won't help either

We have original tires for judging if it ever goes that route. Easy to change wheels & tires.

It's a personal preference, that's all.

It's part of the disease. Includes tires, special head bolt markings, stamps inside of rims, clamps, screws, and hose markings. An ego trip that satisfies the " perfect mechanical device " in some controllers. Its been known to drive some to the point of break down searching for the part number on the axle gear cluster. Identical in weight, size, material, per portion, and finish but without a special part number ............... it will never be the same.
I have my wife fill out a judging sheet on my hair style. To include, color, cut, style, and per portion. We continue at a local restaurant and the process continues judging food. Some just don't get it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
