66 convertible. NOM driver. Older frame off restoration. Looks prrtty but want someone to inspect for wear, driveability, and general condition.

That's good; the guys I would trust to do it are pros and there'll be a charge for the service.
If you post pictures of it here you'll get a plethora of advice; some good; some really good and some bogus.

However, there is no substitute for eyeballs on the car !

Definitely pay someone to go check it out, especially potential rust on bird cage and usual frame areas since it spent its life in Florida.
