Default T-10 Tranny guru's need advice

Guru's thanks in advance

I have a T-10 I took out of my 61 some years (installed T-45, love it!). I have a 63 Avanti with a bad 3 speed (Stude used a T10 in the 4-speed Avanti). I am thinking of putting the T-10 in the Avanti.

My T-10 numbers:
T10-1B cast
W.G. Div.
01 stamped

1-27-0 small screw mounted plate

T10-7B cast on Al tail
9-19-60 small screw mounted plate

The Avanti manual T-10 is listed as a AS6-T019D

1.My T-10 was functioning great, I rebuilt it in about 1973 and has run 100,000+ miles (should be rebuilt before installed)
Suggest its value...I have no idea?

2.Is my T10-1B similar enough to physically substitute for a AS6-T-10D in the Avanti? I realize shaft and tail splines maybe different

Thanks again

Joe

Joe,
I remember rebuilding them way back then and am almost sure that the tail housing and splines were the same.

You've got a 2nd design Borg Warner T10 with a cast iron main case and tail housing (about 15 pounds heavier than the 3rd design with aluminum cases).

W = Warner gear
K = November
17 = 17th
0 = 1960
2 = 2nd shift
