Difference between 61-62 and earlier deck lid stainless?
Can someone tell me the difference between the 61-62 and the earlier deck lid stainless behind the seat? Looking for the measurement and if possible a picture showing the two? Thanks!

Boy......I'm not sure there is a difference in the deck lid stainless, but it looks like there must be because they are listed in the for sale ads as identifying them differently.
The difference between the deck lids of 61/62, and those earlier are that the 61/62 have that raised ridge down the center of the deck.
Hopefully JohnZ will come up with the correct information. John is a great source of information for these cars!
Sorry I can't really offer much more, but I see no one has answered your thread yet.

just tried my 57 trim on my 61 and they appear to be interchangable.
For sure the glove box trim is the same.
Maybe the clips/fasteners are different?
Same curve in the deck lids.

nothing different with the deck lid moulding. There are some differences in the end door caps through out 59,60 versus 61/62.

Trust me, they are different. The end by the door is angled different, but I don't remember which is which. I don't have any of these left since I am selling everything, but if you lay them next to each other, there is a noticeable difference. While you may be able to make them fit, they will not look right. Attached pictures show a pair of each. Unfortunately, I don't have any old pictures with the 2 types sitting side by side. 56-60 on top, 61-62 on the bottom.

Mike Coletta sent me this awhile back when I asked.
The 58=60 molding is a little shorter, has harder bends at the corners, and has a different cut (angle) on the outboard side. I have interchanged them, but you have to play with the location on the deck, and adjust the door endcaps to create something that looks ok visually. They are definitely different, and are not meant to be interchangeable. The 61/2 molding is a lot flatter and longer on the outboard side.
