Why do you need to remove the column to get to the clutch linkage? Seems more work then needed. But it's simple to remove. Unbolt the rag joint the undo the clamp and bracket on firewall. Then inside disconnect the wiring harnes then unbolt the column supports and the part on the dash cluster. Then pull straight out

Mazlen - I see this is your first post, welcome to the Corvette Forum.
When you say 'clutch linkage' do you mean the pedal assembly? If so, I've heard some guys have figured out how to get it out without removing the column but I never could figure it out so...out came the column. Nowhere Man has already given you some tips on getting the column out. Also, since it's going to be out, if you 'ever' had an inclination to refresh your instrument cluster (bulbs, lenses, gauge faces, gauges themselves) this would be the perfect time to pop it loose since all the hard stuff would be out of the way. Post up some pics of your 65 when you get the chance.

A second welcome to you. In order to help yourself, get a Chassis Service Manual. Available via many of the supporting CF vendors. Dennis
