58 - Should the hood pop-open on a single pull?
My car has never had the hood latches on and so I'm not sure what I'm experiencing is normal.
When I pull my hood release cable, the hood moves but doesn't pop open...I have to move the handle in and out a few time before it will actually pop-up. Should it just "pop" with a single slow pull or is this normal?
I have tried moving the adjustments all over the place with the same results. Is there some kind of procedure for getting it to pop on a single pull?

Yes should pop open with one pull.

I thought so. Is there a method of setting this up, or should it be a piece of cake?
I have to "pump" my handle and as I do the hood moves up, then "pops" open.

I looked at the ST-12 and I don't see anything about a hood adjustment...perhaps I'm blind.

I finally got it, but there certainly wasn't room for a wide adjustment and getting it to work. There was a "sweet spot" and just slight adjustments on each side would fail to make it pop open. Just hope it doesn't move!
