c1 door weatherstrip installation
Is there a installation post on this installation. I have not found one. I am confused on the installation of the weatherstrip on the pillar post. Looks like it attaches at the top then is glued down to the pins, but I see holes in the pillar post. I see in catalogs "door post weatherstrip retainers" where do they go? Aux weatherstrip is just glued except for the two pins on the large area of the weatherstrip?

Unless you are doing some sort of NCRS where it is NOT glued but just pins in holes, 3m super weatherstrip and gasket adhesive is highly recommended even with pins, or just ditch the pins and use the adhesive.

I was able to get mine installed without any adhesive on my 61.. Not for NCRS/judging reasons.. but it just fit that way.

Check the 61-62 assembly instruction manual (AIM) for specific information on placement of the clips.
The AIM is a handy book to own if you plan on doing much work on your car.

I used the adhesive, but first masked off the areas I didn't want adhesive. Neater install and, if cleaned properly, holds very well.
