I have a nice 64 Vette, I am trying to locate the VIN numbers on frame. Car was mfg. Feb 1964. I did locate the vin number over the driver side rear wheel, top of frame. Problem it was real rusty and when carefully cleaned, there was one there but very faint. using a small thin mirrow I can make parts of the number which I believe is correct, but not 100%, There is a second vin number, " Where is the 2nd Vin located?

On top of the drivers side frame rail about 12 -15 inches in front of the rear kick-up. It will be very hard to find with the body on.

I could barely see mine when we removed the body but after blasting and powder-coating it was easy to read.

On top of the driver's side rear kick up, center of wheel well. Feel the depression from the stamp. clean off, use light coat of grease and shove in some bondo to get the impression.

Interesting; your comment that some have only one vin stamped on the frame. Can you provide more information on this. PLEASE. Where can I go to get documented data on this.
