Need Help Installing 58 Seat Cushion to Frame
Hey Guys,
What is the correct procedure to install the cushion assemblies to the frame in a 58? Bottom first then the backs or the other way around.
Is there any trick for hooking them in etc. I recently recovered a set with new foam and springs. He is having a hard time putting them on the frame. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

The back frame has fingers that point down, clip the fingers over the back of the frame, then hook the bottom fingers through the tabs at the bottom of the frame back. Then push the bottom cushion on under the back. You will have to push if far enough that the bottom cushion drops down into the frame. There is a left and a right side for the bottom cushions as well.

A lot of the metal tabs at the bottom of the seat frame that are supposed to bend over the U shaped loops at the bottom of the upper cushion, are broken off due to multiple re-bends. However, when you hook the upper U shaped hooks for the upper cushion on the seat frame & then slide the lower cushion into place it will hold the upper cushion in place. Hope that helps. If your metal tabs are still there try to "hook" the U shaped hooks into the tabs and lift the upper cushion up to hook into the upper seat frame. Hope that makes sense.
