Need pic of exhaust from behind rear tire on a C1...
My new exhaust is mounted on my '61...but I'm not sure they terminate down far enough...may burn or soot the paint.
Does anyone have pics of their exhaust down low where it exits behind the rear wheel...?
..a shot of the exhaust from the rear down low would help too.
Thanks...Stan

Yep that's what I thought...mine are too high, they terminate even with the fiberglass.
I have a Corvette Correction Chassis...and that may be part of it, but I know that stock exhaust is use on these chassis often. However this is the Magnaflow sytem that comes with the Patriot headers instead of stock reproduction. I didn't buy the Patriot headers (I used Sandersons)...but did buy from the headers back.
Many thanks for the help guys.
Best regards...Stan

Part of it could be small differences in the chassis, but you can try loosening the exhaust bolts/clamps, repositioning the tip, then retightening. That will do the trick some of the time!

Thanks MF..
I believe it's the chassis for sure at this point...it doesn't take much on those tail pipes to make a difference.
I have a few questions though...see PM's.

Rich /Paul..
Thanks to you both for some more easy to see pics...
I appreciate the help...I am making steps to get new tail pipes made as we speak. Stock pipes are just a little too short with my aftermarket chassis. In fact I'm changing the whole exhaust system except for the two lead off pipes...I just don't care for the mufflers I have either.
(..to noisy for an old guy..I guess lol!. I don't know what happened I used to "luv" loud pipes..???)
Best regards...Stan
