Not saying I'd want it, but I actually think it's cool. At least the work is not a Bubba job.

I like it a lot! I would love to lurk at night up in the hills and surprise a few canyon carvers! (well, 20-30 years ago, anyway!)

I like it too! It sure looks a whole lot better than most of those conversions of late model Corvettes, into 53-55's and 61-62's.
A high school buddy of mine flipped his Supper Beetle on it's side, zipping around a traffic circle one night. There were three of them in the car, they all jumped out, flipped it back on it's tires and drove away.
It would never have happened with that beetle!

Remember when people put Porsche engines in beetles ?

I like it, but would use narrower fenders and tires to make it look more like a stock VW. And I'd have the aluminum wheels custom-machined to look like late-Beetle hubcaps, maybe even add whitewalls to the performance tires.

With those tires, "the limit" is orders of magnitude higher, plus front-heaviness makes a car want to keep going straight forward. Rear-heaviness invites spins. Which tendency would you find more dangerous?

But why is it that the Porsche 911 is what it is, though engine weight more forward of the rear wheels than the Beetle?
For this Beetle in the OP, it's an improvement. And I suppose the original design for the Beetle was storage as a selling point aside from economy and safety (as well as mass production).
This CorBette though, has to be something to experience.
