I looked on my assembly manual and it really doesn't show how the wiper cable, tach and speedometer run out from the cluster through the two holes and out to the dash.
If I run the cables out of the holes right behind the cluster, I run into the wiper cables and the defroster duct.

Thanks for taking these pictures and trying to help. Looks like someone has been under there changing some things. What's the thing where your speaker should be? Looks like a regulator??
