Car Covers
I am looking to buy a car cover for my 67 Roadster. Any recommendations on what to buy or to avoid? Quality is of higher consideration than price.
Thanks in advance for your help!
BOUGHT A COVER. NO FURTHER RESPONSES NEEDED. THANKS EVERYONE FOR YOUR SUGGESTIONS

cover for 67
Just purchased one from BEVERLY HILLS MOTORING...on their site you can click the color, the piping, and mix and match the various options........it is the softest material I have seen and it clings to the body like yoga pants for your car....fits super nice...my 67 is BLK with RED stripe so I got the black cover with the red piping..$ 450...i was not dissapointed...very very soft and (guarnteed not to scratch...I sort of doubte it ....but I must say as advertised) ....

I was just in London and every Saudi had their Ferrari covered with that red satin two-tone coverking.
I personally like the flannel napped inside lining on my Covercraft. It is an indoor cover only, is grey and helps provide extra cushion when my kids wife or i gently pass it. Mine is 67 roadster also.

I did a lot of internet / CF research on this subject and the best I found to fit my needs was the Plushweave Cotton Flannel from California Car Cover. Haven't bought one yet buts its on my list of to buy items.

If you want one made to order and a bit heavier in case the car has to maneuvered around a lot in your garage "bump factor" take a look at Vetts Under Cover. A buddy has one and he said it has saved him several times from inadvertent drops or touches. He travels so his is covered and garaged a lot. I offer to exercise it often!

I bought a VettesUnderCover for my '69 after it was painted and loved it so much I bough one for the SWC as soon as I brought it home. They fit like a glove and I love the way the antenna holes are stitched, very nice product.

This makes a HUGE difference...but I have to assume by your replies...it is for inside.....BECAUSE..... outside car covers.... if NOT attended to and maintained...CAN BE the 'kiss of death' to your Corvette.

I do not about that...I would think that going out to the garage and uncovering my Corvette would be like Christmas. I guess we all have a specific amount of effort that when we reach it....we then determine it being a 'pain'. To each his/her own I guess.
For those with inside car covers....keep this in mind. I WOULD NOT install it when you get right back from a drive and the car is HOT. And honestly...it is all up to the person IF they want to then install the car cover on a paint job that may be dirty...thus possibly getting that dirt on the underside of the cover...and thus scratching your cars paint every time to put it on and off. This is what we in the paint industry (and possibly others) as 'dry wiping' which can scratch paint very easily and put the fine scratches in your paint.
And if you wash it before installing the cover...make sure that it is totally dry before you do so.

Melting Slicks
Outdoor cover recommendation
Go with stormproof car cover-light, lasts 2-3 years before threads start fraying, keeps bad stuff and moisture out. You can extend life by using a fabric cement to supplement the bad threads. I keep my BLACK 03 Z06 outside and other covers would let pollen in. Not cheap, but under $300 if I remember right. Kinda $100/year protection. Keeps the ^&*(((*&() cats off of the paint.
The thin/light fabric allows compact folding and is very easy to handle. Fits my 60 decently on road trips.
