Default C2 speedometer/tach remove and replace

I do not want to pull the cluster - but, I have a tach problem (noise/erratic needle). Anybody pulled either instrument for repair w/o removing the cluster assy?

Unless you got hands and arms of a infant your going to need to pull the cluster

As stated above, you must pull the cluster. We all know its a challenge, but you can do it. All the details have well covered here. Dennis

Going to be pulling the cluster on the '66 next month. Find and follow the procedures in every detail.

You may want to remove and lube tack cable first,may be dry 66racer

IF your tach is distributor driven you may find the gauge is not your problem...could be worn distributor parts....could be a dry cable....could be too severe an angle on the cable at the distributor end.

Do a proper diagnosis before snatching delicate parts out...
