I'm having problems with the automatic shifter linkage hitting the electronic speedo adapter for Dakota Digital gauges coming off a 200-4R trans. This is in a '65. Has anybody run into this problem or have any idea on how to solve it?
First part of the problem was the linkage wanted to go straight into the adapter. So I bent the linkage but now I can't shift down into 3rd because the shifter linkage (not the rod) hits the adapter. See pics:
