Duntov SS Need Pics of Engine and Fuel Tank Area
Have you ever had the fortune of taking pics of the 1957 Corvette SS with the clam shells open? If so, please show them here!!!!

I have been around it in person a number of times
Me in the white shirt with Steve Earle special access passes hanging off of me and Dad in the Guldstrand jacket in the center back and I did have my camera, but I can't remember if I have caught it open or not on other occasions, except this one time, but there are plenty of pictures of it in books or magazines! I would have to go locate those pictures and hope it isn't on one of the 600 rolls of old film I haven't developed yet going back to 1982/3!

Thank you, TC. I've seen this one before but I know the car has been on display and opened up like your pic. Surely someone has taken some good pics of the engine area.

They're probably all 'black' by now...

Official GM black and white pictures of the engine OUT of the car (before installation) have been posted in the forum, showing fine details. Zora and other techs are in some of the pics AIR. You might see the tank on some of the period bare chassis shots.

I have a ton of the published photos as well as vintage magazines. I was hoping someone may have taken some personal photos at some point when the car was on display over the years.

What are you looking for? You live in Indiana, call the Speedway and either arrange for a photo shoot or find out the next time the SS will be on display.
