Default Maryland Corvettes

Is there any classic corvette owners around the Baltimore Annapolis area? I joined a local corvette club, but although the members were very nice, they were all interested in weekend cruising trips, not the forte of a C2 with a cranky engine, low rear end, and side pipes. I would like to meetup with like interested folks around the area.

Mason Dixon Chapter of NCRS. That's where you'll find most of the older Corvettes.

I belonged to the Bel Air Corvette Club for 30+ years before moving to Florida in 08. GREAT bunch of people.

I joined the local Corvette club near me here in Florida. They have 250+ members. Another great group.

All that being said, most have newer Corvettes. Even C4's are considered "old".

If you don't mind crossing the bay bridge there are 7 of us who own Corvettes and are part of the Kent Island Cruisers that meet every Tuesday night, around 6pm, at Rita's in the Kmart parking lot (just after coming off the bridge, south side of Rt50). Several of us have C1's, 2's, 3's, 4's, a 5, a 6 and a 7 along with other guys with a variety of cars. Dave

Same problem I have in Bedford PA. Very few vettes, mostly new ones. The only time c2s see daylight around here is when there's a judging event.

That's the problem, Dave. Everyone wants to cruise. My car isn't much of a cruiser. 30 minutes are about it for me. Thanks for your offer, however.

Unfortunately mine isn't a show car either. In fact, I'm not sure what it's good for except for twiddling with it. It is pretty, though.

Why don't you like driving it?

Oh I like driving it well enough, but at 70 I wear out quickly. It's noisy, doesn't steer very straight, the seats are not comfortable, and it seems to have about 100 miles MTBF. The brake pulling problem I think I'm close to solving.

I'm slowly working my way through the problems, but it won't happen quickly. I do love the car, don't get me wrong, I just don't have the stamina anymore.

I think Dennis (Bluestripe67) lives in your neck of the woods. Will probably chime in soon.

Gotcha. I'm not too far from you unfortunately I'm still putting my car back together after an accident. I should be ready to roll in a few weeks. I'll meet you somewhere for a beer and I'll fill you in on places to go that I know of.

Dennis chiming in! I'm inside the Beltway not far from 270. It sound like once you get the bugs worked out, driving will be better. Dennis
