C2-1967 seat back angle adjustment possible?
The C2-1967 Corvette was the first year they had the safety latch locks on the seat backs. Other year Sting Rays did not have these safety locks, and the seat back was/is adjustable by extending or retracting the phillips screw & Nylon cushion. This works well. But my 1967, with the locks, has no adjustable seat back screw STOPS, and so
both seats have uncomfortable back positions; as in TOO FAR Forward!
I have looked thru a lot of forum searches and threads, and cannot find out what the Dealers would tell owners like me, in 1967, about adjusting (reclining) the 2 seat backs. Am I just out of luck on this issue? I'm aware that I probably could install 5/8" flat spacers under the seat rails, on the front bolts. But this isn't the good answer I'm looking for. There's got to be something I'm missing here...............

'67 seats do not have any provision for adjusting the "back" of the seat due to the safety latch mechanism. You could tilt the entire seat, but thats all. Does your latch mechanism actually work? Look and see if it is aligned correctly and the round metal stop are at the same height. Dennis
