C1 - Hambone seat belt "secret knot" revealed
I have looked at a bunch of threads on how to secure the seatbelt webbing to the hambones and all I have seen is a bunch of "look at the manual" and when you do, you're STILL scratching your head!
So, I'm going to make it simple for anyone trying to figure this out.
The picture below is showing the drivers side (outboard) MALE buckle.
Make sure that when you go this that you have your buckle right-side-up and not upside down....just lay it out like you want it sitting on the car.
According to the AIM, you'll want about 4" of webbing at the end.

Nice pic ,,,, its kind of a leap of faith to trust your life to that zany knot but once you thread things around correctly and cinch it all up you'll find out it ain't gonna EVER come loose on its own...

Yea...once you figure it out, it's a peace of cake...the problem for me was trying to figure it out from the AIM.

Here's a sketch I made many years ago when I was doing my 57's.

The jpgs are below and a PDF is attached. My 60 has incorrect belts (68's I think) and I'm considering getting a set of repros that are more period correct. This will come in handy!
Thanks to you both for posting up the info!

I'm glad you will find it handy. Hopefully this won't become a brain twister for others following suit.

Thanks, Frank. I did check my mounts, and while a bit grungy, they are solid.....the car is dry as a bone underneath with virtually no corrosion...the benefits of being in a dry and arid climate for 50 years! (And the reason my windshield rubber has 1000 cracks in it!)

One of the reasons I powdered coated mine.
