Default C2 right side mirror option

Was a right side mirror ever offered as either a factory or dealer installed option?

Not a factory option.

I believe that a passenger side mirror wasn't installed by the factory on Corvettes until 1977.

If you are considering putting one on, it need to be placed differently than the driver side so the vent window vertical frame doesn't block your view. Dennis

To answer your question, it was offered as a dealer installed option.

If you're considering it, then do it. You'll be much safer not just for yourself but for other drivers as well.

Hi Leif,
Thought that be the case. How did come to this opinion? Thanks much, Duke

I put one on after finding the correct right-hand. Don't have strong feelings about it one way or the other.

Not an option... but should have been. C2's have notorious blind spots. You'll be amazed by how much more you can see.

It's an absolute necessity where I live.
We drive on the other side in New Zealand.

As that Italian Driver said in the movie Gumball Rally, "what's behind me, it's not important".

Coupes are a bitch to see out of and I have a neck problem that doesn't allow me to turn my head fully either way.

I put one on the passenger side and put a 4" mirror dot on it so I can see very well on that side.

I installed a right side mirro and used a round convex mirror just a bit smaller and stuck it to the right side mirror. Otherwise it is useless. You will then have a modern set up to see on the right side. When you drive thousands of miles a year as I do, not being blindsided is a must.

Bad photo but you can see it. You can go to a auto supply store for a choice of sizes

Do you think a dealer installed r/s mirror would have a date code?
