Ron Burke - Chevy Cool www.chevycool.com. He does excellent work and also can supply very nice original cores to rebuild. He has an ad in the Driveline, good guy

B/T/W Arthur Gould retired several years ago and sold the business, it does continue, but he is no longer involved. He used to do excellent work I agree.

I was not worried about originality, just quality. I got some recommendations and found a local shop that would do the rebuild for pretty close to the price of a replacement pump.

I always use a local shop in Denver. I even wait for it sometimes.

Just be a bit careful. I just had to kick back a rebuilt "608" pump because the pulley was spaced out wrong.... All rebuilders are not equal...

I believe his son is doing it, so he's well acquainted with the process.

Interesting, years ago after he retired I had them do a fuel pump (the work was good) and was told they had "purchased" the business. Assumed it was a third party

Looking to do a rebuild on a '66 big block water pump. Have people here done it themselves, and if so, where is the best place to get a rebuild kit?

Any advice is greatly appreciated,
