I agree. I do too....not so much the front, but the rear end treatment and the interior are very nice. Like the engine bay, too.

I kinda like it except for the steering wheel and the clear bubble top which would never work in Florida.
The front looks like like they were trying to make it look like a Pontiac.

The rotary car phone on the last pic is the best.

Whatever happened to those custom show cars from the 60s and 70s, particularly the custom Corvettes?
There is an old show car a mile or so from my house. I haven't seen the car is 20 years, but I seem to recall that it was a famous car in the 1970s in Las Vegas.
It is a Lincoln Continental with 6 axles (two rear axles), and the entire back of the car is a hot tub. It did not age well.

Currently on the SFBA craigslist. So sad. And, from what I've seen restored '67, 390s sell for on the recent TV auctions, I just don't see how anyone would be willing to take this project on. What does make it interesting though, according to the seller, it's a 3-speed.

Started out as a 1964 Corvette … "Turbo Shark" built by Carl Casper in 1965.

But he had to use custom bolts for mounting the rear spring to the trailing arms, each side has a unique tightened length. The left side nut for the bolt is spun up higher bey about 1/2".

I'm not a fan of the crazy C2 mods, but I have to admit that I do like the somewhat stock looking C2's with the really crazy 70's paint! If I had one of those, then I'd drive it like it is! And, I've always been a fan of the "Corvette Summer" car...Crazy custom but it just seems to work on that car for some reason!!
