Yeah, they were just as wrong about the stock market as they were about Mr. Trump

Without taking one side or the other, this election has been without a doubt, the worst in my memory. With the millions of people in this country, this is the best two we could come up with?

What has been most disturbing, has been the complete loss of common courtesy, not only of the candidates, but of their supporters! It seems that we have all become so desensitized by social media, that we will attack someone for simply having a different view than our own! There seems to be no acknowledgment that there is any other viewpoint than the one we hold. To call someone a moron, or even worse, just because they support a different candidate than you do, is just crazy.

I had no favorite in this race, as I believe they are both horrible choices, but in the end, I held my nose and voted AGAINST the one that I thought presented a greater danger to what I view as the American way of life. I have voted for the same party's presidential candidate for the last 40+ plus, but this time around, I just could not force myself to do so. This is the first time in my life that I actually voted against a candidate, rather than for a candidate, and that is sad in itself.
Some people may not agree with my choice, but that is OK, because it is one of the things that makes this country great, we all do not have to agree.!

Regards, John McGraw
Thank you for this post. I think you represent most of us. There are a lot of people here gloating and being sore winners and that's a shame. We all have different views and the freedom to express them in votes. I thought both candidates sucked and I wanted neither, but to me Trump was the greater of the two evils, to someone else Clinton was. We should all just be thankful this election is over. The election has brought out the worst in so many people. America lost this election from day one regardless of who won. I just hope we can all unite now and keep America great.

I won't insult any of you for voting trump just as I hope you won't insult me for voting against him. I say against because like John I voted against a candidate not because I wanted one. I and veterans like me fought for this freedom to vote, so let's all respect each other and the process even if we are deeply divided on the issues.

I also need to add, we can all agree there is nothing more American than a vintage corvette NOW BACK TO CARS!

I think all us winners should be at least as gracious as the Obama administration was.

As I recall "Elections have consequences. I won."

Well, there can be a big gap between campaign promises and accomplishments after election. I have no delusions that Trump will magically wave a wand and all will be roses.

But a more sensible approach to energy will hopefully put coal miners back to work. Common sense rather than hysteria will hopefully allow us continued and even increased use of new petroleum technology, keeping our gas prices down for Corvette cruising. Approaching the future with no political machine to be beholden to will hopefully allow for decisions made on common sense (remember THAT?). Someone with testicular fortitude will hopefully restore some of our former respect from other nations, rather than bowing and apologizing at every turn.

We are still, and can continue to be, the greatest nation in the world. But it will take wisdom that I am hopeful, but not assured, the winner possesses. In the meantime, we should be able to keep driving even the older cars without exhaust sniffers in the tailpipe at every turn.

We all need to pray for our leaders whether we like em or not. I for one am glad Trump won. But now we need to put our differences aside and pray for wisdom and God's guidance to get this country back on track. Let's pray that this once great country can become great again because right now we are in bad shape. Sun's shining , I'm going for a Vette ride today and enjoy the freedom we have !!
