True Lies is rightfully at the top of the list. That's the movie that first Introduced me to the C1 and I was hooked. I was about 13 then and finally got my 59 last month at 33.

Hot Rods to Hell, hands down. King of the Mountain is a good one, too, with Dennis Hopper driving a clapped out '64 coupe...

I remember watching Hot Rods to Hell with the girlfriend (now wife) on a hot summer night at the drive-in in my '55 Buick...had one of those stupid, nauseating, mosquito repellent burner thingees on the dash board, steamy hot evening and we were eating concession stand hot dogs containing meat of an unidentifiable origin.
Girlfriend's curfew was 11:00pm so we'd hotfoot it to her house in that tank of a car before her Mom start flicking the porch light off and on....(a signal to quit making out in the driveway)
Ah - the good ole days!!

I saw it on the Afternoon Movie on television after school around 1970. It burned itself into my brain. I now have it on DVD, and at least once a year, we have a group get-together for cocktails and a viewing. It gets better every time.....and I know most of the lines by heart. Terrible acting, terrible dialog, but so campy it's priceless. It was filmed in the winter of '66 but released in '67, right when the youth culture totally changed from '50's clean-cut to psychedelic, hippies, and the drug culture. So it was hopelessly outdated from the get-go. Coca cola was a sponsor, and decided that the main anti-heros were such bad news that they blurred out every coke bottle that appeared on the tables of The Arena's cafe and bar. A true 'so bad it's great' flick, and a true time capsule. Great music in the soundtrack with very early fuzz guitar, and with The Mickey Rooney Jr. Combo playing a string of pretty solid R&B songs. Dubbed in engine sounds from and Austin Healy 6 cylinder for the '58 'vette, which is burning serious oil out of the left bank and capable of screeching its tires on dirt roads. As good as it gets!

I do...
There were also some C1s in the car dealer's lot on American Grafitti...and in Scarface there is a C1 in a movie on the TV set in the seedy hotel where they dismember some guy with a chain saw...
They show up in the strangest places !!

Yes they do.
Granted it was animated but, how about the movie Heavy Metal.
In the opening scene you see a space ship. Then, all of a sudden a C1 emerges with a guy in a space suit doing a re-entry to some unknown planet all the while to the tune of "Heavy Metal " by Sammy Hagar.

No idea why this is in the C1 & C2 section. But, movies? Now you're talking my language!
There's:
Hit and Run
staring a Grand Sport Corvette! Also, Dax Shepard and his beautiful wife
Last Stand
an Arnold movie. Co-starring a ZR1!!
others have mentioned Con Air
Gorgeous vette in that one. But it's destroyed (CGI?). In a manner that's as ridiculous as the rest of the movie. All i can think is long haired Nick Cage and "YOU BETTER START CONTEMPLATING!!" OH! also, Dave Chappelle and Danny Trejo
Of COURSE we're gonna mention F&F!!!! haha. Don't think you're getting away that easily!
Cannonball Run II
had a really nice (early) C4
I'll leave you with a really nice one that I'm sure most have forgotten
The Big Lebowski
John Goodman going to town on what looks like the same C4

Regarding C1's, I'd vote for True Lies (a 59) or Less than Zero (a 60) or Kiss Me Deadly (54). Route 66 should be mentioned if it weren't television.
Recently, Jersey Boys briefly features a Jewel Blue 61 at the end of the film and "Sin City: A dame to kill for" sports a nice 60 model.
