Just received my Shipping Report. I have a 1965 Corvette Coupe with 15 factory options. It was shipped to GM Design Group MI. Any idea why it was shipped shipped there?

Employees would drive the cars for a certain # of miles fill out a report & turn them in or could buy them to keep.

GM employees who got a company car as a perk also had an annual requirement to buy one so they would order a car drive it and then buy it at a bigger discount due to the mileage. They would then flip it the next year and would quite often end up ahead of the game financially particularly with Corvettes.
