for many years I have only used one product on new manifolds Calax dressing . it never dries and can be re applied over and over . it washes off with water . try it !

I also been using Calax and have been very happy with the ease of use and the look after many cycles.

GTO, never mind Frank getting street cred with the manifold around his neck at NCRS events.

I saw him get out of his hot tub once and he had the gold manifold around his neck! My eyes still burn. Oh what a sight. And by the way, the manifold was the only thing that he was wearing.

It's Calyx, but I don't want to use anything that never dries and washes off with water.

I just bought a pint of POR15 in Aluminum color to do my manifolds. However, the more I read, it seems that I really should use Gray. Or are the two colors very close....any thoughts?

I would use gray. I did use gray. It looks more like natural iron. In the end it's your choice for which you like better. From the POR website:

I used gray.. The color lightens up a bit after time.

Should've gone to the website....I think you're right Gray looks more natural. I wouldn't want to go too light and shiny...don't want to compete with Frankie's bling
