Corvette, Funfest, Registration, Theme Mid America Motorworks is gearing up for an extraordinary 2017 Corvette Funfest in honor of the 50th Anniversary of the 1967 Corvette. The Mid America Motorworks campus will host the 2017 Corvette Funfest, September 14th - 17th.
The Largest Corvette Party in the World will celebrate the 1967 Corvette Sting Ray. Corvette Funfest attracts thousands of Corvette Enthusiasts from around the country, as well as internationally, with four full days of activities designed to promote the Corvette hobby.

The 1967 Sting Ray was the last Corvette of its generation, and five years of refinements made it the best of the line, touting a blue GM Mark of Excellence. The most noteworthy feature of the 1967 was the optional L88 engine; of which, only 20 were produced. The ultimate Corvette engine, the L88 was as close to a pure racing engine as Chevrolet had ever offered in regular production.

“Looking ahead to 2017, I am very excited to be celebrating the Golden Anniversary of the 1967 Corvette with other enthusiasts and to be hosting some of the finest examples from that model year,” said Mike Yager, Chief Cheerleader and Founder of Mid America Motorworks.

Mid America Motorworks is thrilled to announce that preparations are under way for Corvette Funfest 2017. The four-day event will pay tribute to the 1967 Corvette and will also feature special displays and parking for all Lucky Seven’s celebrating Anniversary’s of the 1957, 1967, 1977, 1987, 1997, 2007 and the 2017.

The artist behind the 2017 Corvette Funfest theme is our very own, Betsy Yager. Using the infamous Las Vegas Welcome sign, the 1967 Sting Ray, and Lucky Sevens for inspiration, Betsy illustrated the incredible piece of artwork, which will be used as the 2017 Corvette Funfest official theme, displayed on event t-shirts, posters, yearbooks, and more.

Mid America Motorworks is thrilled to announce a new, ? mile Drag Strip Racing event for Corvette Funfest 2017. “The need for speed and quality performance is in every Corvette owner’s blood,” says Mike Yager, “we are excited to add this classic racing, grudge-match event to Corvette Funfest.” Additional details will be announced in the coming weeks.

1967 was the iconic Summer of Love and Mid America Motorworks is planning ahead to celebrate the 50th Anniversary at Corvette Funfest 2017. The Summer of Love was fueled by groundbreaking music and Corvette Funfest 2017 will welcome several of your favorite bands to the Funfest Amphitheater. Stay tuned for future announcements!

If you have a 1967 Corvette and are planning on attending Corvette Fun Fest you may want to contact then soon. It is to my understanding that they are trying to get one 1967 Coupe and Convertible of each of the 10 colors built that year and have them on display. So there will be a red Coupe and Convertible and a Yellow Coupe and Convertible and so on. My 67 Coupe will be the Sunfire Yellow Coupe that will be on display. So if any of you Forum guys or gals are bringing your 67 Coupe or Convertible to the 2017 Corvette Fun Fest you should register as soon as you can and see if they have or have not got a 1967 Corvette in your color and Coupe or Convertible signed up to have your 1967 Corvette on display for the entire event. I am sure there will be great entertainment for Saturday Nights Concert that comes with your registration along with other great items. I hope to see you 57 and 67 guys there.
