Default 1966 427 voltage regulator?

hi, i'm restoring a '66 L72 convertible, doing final assembly right now. wondering if the voltage regulator required for this engine with T/I is the same as the rest of the cars? what's the best source for a correct appearing regulator? thanks! Rick

Or, if you don't want to take it in the a$$ price wise you can go with this> http://www.zip-corvette.com/63-67-c2...placement.html

Any auto parts store can get one. There is no need to mail order unless you want a dated original

The voltage regulator for TI and non TI cars is the same. Original part number is 1119515 or 515 for short. They were dated year and month. (Example 6A = January 1966). Keep in mind I was not used in electrical component dating because it looked too close to the L.

Best,
Dave

I found a very good date correct original from David Sokoloski. He has numerous ads and a large inventory of misc parts in the Driveline if you are NCRS. 301-329-5434 Cash only.
