Default Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale 2017

Heading out Thursday for the Auction, not selling anything this year, possibly buying if the right deal comes along.

Gonna be checking out the C1 RestoMods, planning on taking a '57 RestoMod next year to sell.

Anyone else going or selling this year?

I will be there, already been over there 3 days. I live 10 minutes away!!! I sat down and watched the last 3 cars cross the block today. Stupid, stupid money for a 97 red on red 6-speed coupe with 60k miles and damage history. Hammered at $20k, oh my God, those cars are cheeeeep right now!!

When you see the airport fill up with private jets you'll know the money arrived.

Rob
Check out lot 1096 it's a Friday car. It's a 62 vette Restomod. They are using pictures of my 62 that I sold in Vegas. Car description is a little different and vin is different than mine. They must not have pics of their own car.

That's a little shady, I'll get pics of it and post them.

Now that the auction is underway I think it's a little shady. I get that consignor may not have had good pics of car by their deadline but by now since the car is on site you would think they would take accurate pics. Keep us posted on sales figures versus build quality.

Saw that! Very strong money for most everything, flying in tomorrow, but going to Bonhams theirs is a one day auction and trying to get there before its over looking a '91 Testarossa, probably out of my budget, but that's the fun. If we finish early enough, we will run over to BJ late tomorrow night, to try and catch a few cars, then all day Friday and Saturday, cars, cars, cars.

I'm ready!!!

I think what brought the $$$ on that car is that it only had 60K miles.

I like the wheels. Who made them?

>>Paint your brake drums semi gloss black.

Ditto the inner fenders except use matte black.

Well Bonhams was a bust for me on the '91 Testarossa, I was about $14k short on it, but the auction experience was amazing, complete opposite of BJ zero pressure, zero hype, and small venue. Pretty amazing to be in the room when the Ferrari California hammered sold for $10,650,000!!!! Planning on consigning our '68 911L with them next year when the resortoration is finished.

Also got to meet Wayne Carini...

Restomods are doing well. As of last night top 4 cars were all restomods. Sale price anywhere from 150k for #4 to 187k for top seller. Pretty good for a Thursday.

Of course they are. They elders that can afford them now to relive their childhood dream, do you think they want to mess with drum brakes, finicky carbs and ignition systems, having to wiggle the red wire on the firewall, hmmmmm, let's see what else?

Just plop down some of your retirement money and get in and go, stop on a dime and accelerate faster than most cars on the street.
