Default Need to drive c2 in Austin Texas

Hey guys,

I've posted before regarding fullfilling a bucket wish of owning an automatic c2 and needing to buy smart due to some rather serious health issues.

It's been a decade or so since I've actually driven one. I think I should test drive as I am activiley looking and will pull the trigger quickly once I find the right car.

Any suggestions on where I can actually drive a convertible here in Austin?

Also still looking for that elusive convertible automatic if anyone has a line on one

Thank as always.

Indeed.

Maybe I didnt clarify.

Not looking for actual driving routes....looking for actual car....either for sale or in the possession of philanthropic forum member.

At this point I'd settle for the parking lot of a Target.

My suggestion is that if you are serious about buying a mid-year, join NCRS, and the TX chapter. There is an enthusiastic group of mid-year owners based in Austin who meet every Saturday to work on someone's car and kick tires. Certainly someone in the group owns a glide and they would welcome you with open arms.
pm me for details.

I'd go to a dealer. That's what I did when I was in St. Louis a couple of years ago. Take a test drive.

There is also another Corvette club in Austin that is very active that may be able to help. Longhorn Corvette club http://longhorncorvette.com
