Watching the cars and sale prices is good but, the same repetitive commercials every few minutes gets old very quickly. It’s been an average of 5 minutes of commercials and 3 minutes of the show. Hopefully Texas Metal was previewed enough. The split screen doesn’t really do much either.

Same here - DVDR it and watch later and FF through the commercials and commentator spots.

Seemed liked the discovery channel did a better job yesterday afternoon. They cut the sound out of some of the commercials. I quit watching because several cars I wanted to see were during the commercials.

I've been running B-J in the background while I do other tasks, but I agree that the commercials are beyond tedious.
As more people go to on-line commercial free viewing, the number of commercials per person remaining on cable will have to increase.
This is the last address (I move frequently) where I will have cable TV. Too many commercials.

I hated the split screen. I was watching specifically for a friends car and is aid I'm gona be so pi__ed if it goes across during one of those. Fast forwarding wouldn't do anything but get the aggravation over quicker.

I don’t watch any of the auctions anymore. It’s just a huge cash cow for the operators and making the at home viewers sit thru incessant commercials just line their pockets even more.

Not only did I watch every hour, I streamed the live coverage when it wasn’t on TV.
I have a serious addiction.
Anyway, the repeated same handful of commercial was tedious, especially the obnoxious Southern New Hampshire online school ad that not only asks veterans who are “actively deployed” to stand up (um, if they are actively deployed, I don’t think they are at graduation) and then doubles down by pretending the excuse that “talent is equally distributed but opportunity is not.”
I hit the mute whenever that ad came on, which was too often.
Oh, and although I’m not a big Cristy Lee fan (Frankie Alert!) her replacement was terrible. Mom jeans and screechy voice, eek. Back to the minivan in NC for you, NHRA Lady.

Does anyone else have a problem with the sound? I have a Samsung Smart TV plus a sound bar and the commentators audio seems to be lower then the auctioneer's sound audio. Besides the annoying commercials and the inept audio, the whole thing is tough to watch.

It would be strange if come to find out, their take on the TV commercials is more than the auctions.

Yes. They've always had a problem in the sound production where the auction announcements override the commentators.

Was anyone else besides me surprised that the 59 on a Paul Newman chassis brought $200K?

I remember when cable TV first came out....the allure was that there were no commercials. You had to pay a monthly fee for the cable service (because there were no commercials!), but the trade-off was great! Capitalism slowly eroded what was once a wonderful experience. Now we have to pay through the nose AND endure endless commercials. Horrible.

I ripped through the commercials with DVR, but the frustrating thing I saw was a significant number of cars (like half or more) were discussed on the down ramp towards the door and did not even have under the hood or under chassis video. At this point in the flow commentary had little or no chance to highlight unique features of the cars.
