Headlight Motors
Yesterday I went ahead and pulled the motors and serviced them. The hood is still off the car and it went pretty easy. They literally come out in less than 5 minutes and are super easy to do. Scrubbed all the gears and housings and applied new grease, used a scotch bright pad to clean up the armature commutators.
If anyone is considering doing this themselves just go for it...piece of cake.

Went for another drive yesterday too. No hood and lots of people coming out of their seats trying to get a look. 73 degrees in February in Maryland I don't think I've ever experienced this before.

Glad you sorted it out.
I had to mess with mine last week (new bracket and grommet) and it was easier with the hood off AND the engine out!!
Was able to stand underneath and take my time. Unlike last month when I replaced the engine/light harness with the hood on and engine in. That sucked!
