Left brake lights
I just had my 63 repainted. When coming off the flat bed I noticed that all lights worked except the left brake lights. The right side two are fine. I have new bulbs in. What should be my next step? Check ground?

If the left turn signal works, you don't have a ground, socket, or bulb problem. The only difference in wiring for the brake and turn signal (when one side works) is the turn signal switch. There are contacts inside that must make when in neutral position for the brakes to work. Back up to something where you can see the reflection of the brake lights, turn off ignition (KEY OFF), move the turn signal switch left and right with foot on the brake and see if there is any position that the left brake light now works and post back what you find. Here's a picture of a 66 turn signal switch, it's different from your 63, but the contacts show why the brake light would not work on one side if those contacts weren't making. Your 63 switch is down the column and operated by cable, so it could be as simple as not centered when the signal shaft is centered.

This happened to me going to inspection station worked for a long time then stopped .
After forcing the right blinker harder its like came back to life .
Is it a adjustment on cable down by brake peddle or did I move the contacts inside the steering wheel. Now its working and didn't want to force the issue. Forcing the right blinker on with the leaver fixes it.

The brake light should go out when you signal that direction. The flasher voltage is substituted to that side instead. Sounds like your turn signal flasher isn't working. It clips to the driver side panel just above the power ant switch. If the ignition is off, it will act just as you describe, and that is normal.

I am having the same problem flasher is sounding dash light is not lite until you "tickle" the turn signal stalk and then it will flash, but you have to hold the stalk
