Default Oil filter heat deflector

Just curious if anyone recommends a good heat shield/deflector for our C2 oil filter? Mine sits directly above the headers.

I suppose that it couldn't hurt. I'd be more prone to either doing a ceramic coating or wrapping those headers. JMO

Found this on Summit's website. But not sure how long it would take before it slides and goes bye-bye .

Heat wrapping the header collector is always an option. I guess I'm being lazy .

If I were running headers, I would wrap them from the exhaust ports all the way back. Retaining the heat in those pipes would be have a twofold advantage.

First, it would dramatically lower excessive heat in the engine bay. Less heat equals less damage to wiring and other electrical components not to mention less heat in the cabin. The other, while much more minimal, should give you a few more ponies.

Hey, it's winter! So, get off your **** and don't be so lazy.

Again, JMO.

probably will depend on the temp of the oil passing through the filter/filter case temp vs the ambient temp next to the filter as to which way the heat is going to transfer.

wrapping the header is probably the best alternative...

Ha-ha yup... should just get under the darn car and get to wrapping . The ebay sleeve looks good but does not protect the filter bottom which sits right above the pipes. Thnx guys.,,.
