My first Corvette.
I was 19 when I bought my 58 in 1962,
Sold it to my brother and bought my next one in 1993 and have had a dozen or so since then. I now own a 57, 62 and as 65 coupe.

I was 18. I bought a '64 convertible just out of high school in '78. It was orange and had small lip flares on all four corners. Sold and bought it back two more times.
Daily driver, added a hot rodded 350. 3.36's and a M-22.
Have had a '65, '71 and a '94 since then...and my current '67.

Me too! How weird is that? Bought mine from the original owner, my uncle. Charcoal w/matching coves, red interior, fuel-injected 290hp, 4-spd. Growing up with the car, I always thought my uncle was cheap for not opting for the full wheel covers and whitewalls you'd see on other Corvettes of the time instead having silver steel wheels with small Chevy Biscayne dog dish hubcaps...until I realized much later on that he ordered the car with the now very rare RPO 684 Big Brakes & Heavy Duty Suspension package and Goodyear "Bluestreak" performance tires. Wish I had that car today!

I bought a used 71 when I was 25. Was a daily driver for most of the 20 years I owned it. Rain, snow, sleet and ice it didn't matter.

Will play along...
Our '60 was bought by my Dad in 1962. He was 23. Traded in his '56 Bel Air 'vert for the Vette. Bel Air was starting to rust per Dad...daily driver up until 1969 and then less and less use until 1992 when we got it going again. Been running great since. Had to believe it's 25 years ago already - geez!
I just took ownership over from my Dad and I'm 42! Loving every minute of it!

Graduated college June, 1969 and was waiting/expecting to be drafted. Got a summer job and then a low number in the first lottery--remember that?--so figured I'd be going shortly thereafter. In the Fall of '69 I got called in for my physical and failed it, so I knew I could move on with my life, so the next evening I bought my first Corvette--a '69 coupe, Riverside Gold with saddle interior, 350/350, 4-speed, PW and A/C--off the showroom floor. I was 22 at the time.

When I was 17 I bought a 59 for $400 , needed work but a week later I was driving it. I am now on my 16th Corvette. 2 years ago I decided I need to go back and bought a 60 that needed work. I run the crap out of that car just like I did back then and am having a BLAST with it ! I told my wife when I bought it that I would sell it to help put my granddaughter through college, Well damn , she's turning 16 this fall. I will hate to part with it.

I was 21, with a lot more hair, in 1974. A 1968 Coupe, white, red interior, 327/350 with low miles. Paid $3,200 for it. Great looking car, but a real problem to be able to afford maintaining on a poor 21 year old's income. I drove it for one year.....even in a snowy upstate New York winter. That was a memorable experience on ice. Sold it after one year for $3,500 and bought a new '75 Firebird. Often wondered what happened to the '68. I sold it to an engineer for Corning Glass and heard he had a dash fire as some point later on. I actually still have the VIN. So if anyone out there is wondering about their '68 327/350 Coupe in white/red, let me know!
