Damn! Thought that I was a geriatric case at age 74, but you guys have me beat. We are too old for wine, women, and song, so we might as well spend our money and time on our cars.

Melting Slicks
There's a lot of old dogs on this site isn't there? I'll be 72 in July and still drive mine when I can. Winter sure puts a damper on it though.

SO encouraging to see so many 70+ years young continuing to enjoy the ride.
Myself, I'm nearing 52 later this year and I remember when even 50 was damned old.
You guys are redefining the boundaries the way it should be done ...by ignoring them.

Congrats to all you guys out there enjoying your Vettes - my Dad is 77 and just turned over ownership to me in June. He'll still take a spin when he's here visiting us in Virginia.
I'm 42 and really hope that I am able to enjoy my Vette until I am your age.

I definitely ain't in the running!
Born 1961 (56 years old) and my Father owned a 1957 Dual Carb car. So I road in that as a baby!
Age 3 Father bought 1964 Coupe
Age 7 (1968) Father got 1968 T-Top and we still have that car.
Age 17 (1978) bought beat up Camaro, not knowing it was a 1967 Z-28. Still in High School.
Age 18 (1979) bought 1973 Porsche 914/6 GT car modified with a Rod Simpson V-8 conversion. Joined the US Navy. I sold it to get the Corvette.
Age 19 (1980) added a 1969 Camaro Z-28 (Live in Girlfriend's car, I owned it and kept it when we separated.
Age 21 (1982) bought 1963/4 C2 Race Car (still have it). Was still in US Navy
Age 24 (1985) bought 1963 C2 Autocross project car (still have it). Hired as a Government Contractor just out of the US Navy.
Age 30 bought 1966 Chevelle 396 SS
Age 42 bought. 1965 El Camino (still have it)
Age 46 (2007) bought 2nd 1968 T-Top car (Still have it).
Age 55 (2016) bought 1969 Formula 2 European car project (still working on it) putting in a Porsche 2.4 L flat 6!
So currently have 3 Corvettes and 1 El Camino and a Formula car!
I have also pretty much owned Motorcycles also up until 2010 near fatal- having from a 1961 Harley up to Suzuki 750s to XR-650L Honda that I last crashed on!

It appears I'm one of the younger old guys here at 71. Loved Corvettes my whole life but could never afford one until 5 years ago when I bought my '67. Two years later I got a 2012 Grand Sport. Taking a break from driving for awhile while I get new knees. Then I hope to be driving Corvettes for as long as I'm able and as long as the Sheriff lets me.

Who is the oldest member of the Forum who still owns and drives his Corvette? What year Corvette do you drive and how long have you been playing in the Corvette Hobby?? I will go first
I am 65 and drive the 54 Motorama Car and my 67 Coupe and a 64 Grand Sport Vert that is F/S and I have owned and played with Corvettes for about 25 years or darn close to it.
Don't be like a lady and afraid to tell your age.

Guess I'm a youngster too, going on 72 later this year. Bought my first Corvette in 1969, so I've owned one almost continuously for 48 years. The eight I've owned were all new or late model when purchased until I bought my current '67 seven years ago. Have probably logged over 500K miles driving Corvettes - put over 100K on a '93 before trading it in.

Burning Brakes
Well I'm only 73, young compared to some. Always been a car nut like the rest of you. I usually keep my cars for a long time but divorces (4) have changed that. 45 years of flying have left me retired with my black lab and the three cars I've cared for the most.
The 65 roadster should come out of the paint shop painted the black/orange stripe like my first one, the coupe. She will be for sunny day drives and shows and maybe a drag race just to say I've done one.
The 72 911 I've had for 20 years, 234,000 miles. She does track days, autox and club events.
Then the Mini which I got when I retired in 2015. She'll be my autox car and some car shows.
Just finished a 4 post lift in my two car garage so I can get everyone inside.

I am 74. My first corvette in 1966 was a 64 Coupe. The Vietnam War kept interfering in my corvette hobby. I had to sell the car. It was a hectic time.
Over, the years I owned 8-10 other corvettes including a C6 in 2006. After that there were no corvettes for almost ten years.
My current 64 Roadster was purchased from a forum member almost two years ago. The car is modified, so here is a pic:
