Default Mid Year side pip Exhaust fiberglass shields.... who sells them?

I've looked and looked..... and I am coming up with zilch.

Does anyone here know of a current reliable source for new replacement exhaust shields for a 1966 with side pipes?

The covers themselves are still in good shape.... fiberglass insulation, not so much.

My right side is crispy ands needs to be replaced. The left side is still alright.

Installed the Classic Chambered pipes with resonators....

Thank you, I am hoping that it is indeed a Fun car with it's new LS7! In a week, I have an appointment with a dyno tuner to dial the new LS7 in.

Judging manual? HA! This car is a Frankenstein Vette! Configured just how I want it!

It was a number of years ago but I needed to replace a lost curved portion on my 67 and I thought I bought it from Paragon. I don't have their catalog right now to check.

If Paragon doesn't have it, I would call Corvettes Specialities of Maryland West......they are the folks currently reproducing the best C2 side pipe covers. They should have them.

You might just paint those pipes black and omit those fiberglass shields. I did and there is no risk of burnt legs. The covers stay cool enough by themselves. And they won't come loose and rattle.

At this car's power level I bet it will be throwing a lot more heat than most. I've noticed with Hookers that the sound and heat varies greatly with what's sending the gasses through the exhaust (and how much pedal is used).

I predict a lot of pedal from this one

Timely thread. I'm missing a couple of side pipe insulation pieces myself. I just checked Corvettes Specialties of Maryland West's web site and the insulation doesn't appear there. Only complete side pipe sets are shown. Looks like a phone call will be needed to see if they offer the insulation separately for sale.

Also appears Paragon sells them. Part Numbers # 6301 and #6302 for center and front sections, respectively.
