I have used Dynamat Extreme in a number of Corvettes and found that with both C1 and C2 cars 2 boxes (2 X 35 sq. ft.) will usually do it.
If you do a complete job including doors and roof (on coupes) more will be required.
It is well worth the cost.
I bought 3 boxes (36 sqft each) of Dynamat Extreme and have one full box and pieces left.
.
I found some of the best prices, including free shipping (each box is pretty hefty), on amazon.
Good luck... GUSTO
Excellent installation.
After doing a few Corvettes I learned to make the LOGO read in the proper orientation, although it obviously does not affect it's efficiency.

Good one Jeff... I actually found it for about half price and free shipping. It wasn't the first time either, but you can't find it when you need it, so I buy early.
I didn't do the tool trays because I hadn't yet decided how to deal with them. I was thinking of having some carpet sewn into pockets that slip into the trays and hadn't decided if I wanted to do them permenant with the Dynamat yet.
Anyone have any suggestions on how to deal with the tool trays?
Great info. Do you guys also install the jute padding as well or just carpet over the Dynamat?
2 boxes of 36 square feet will do it....and I also apply some on the door which is covered by the door panel and also in the inside of the outer door skin.
Actually I install the DynaPad over the Dynamat Extreme. This way I do not have to worry about how the logos are positioned.....and I generally wipe them off with lacquer thinner anyway. I also can remove the writing on the DynaPad where it is on the firewall and can be seen. I apply the DynaPad from the base of the windshield all the way back to the rear seat bolts...transmission tunnel are included....and then I also due it in the rear over the wheel tubs if the customer want to take it to the next level and not leave any area out.
If i was ever to pay the padded out price for Dynamat, I'd leave the ID letters on, no matter what angle they ended up at. Why pay $500 for the name, when the customer can't tell it apart from $36 worth of Frost king! Seriously, you guys are doing some excellent work. Very nice install pics.
Has anybody used this as opposed to Dynamat? I am a firm believer that you get what you pay for. I don't mind paying extra if I receive the best product.
Dynamat is the best.
Again, you get what you pay for.
The price on Amazon Prime is a very good price and due to it's weight free shipping saves a lot more.
My son has Prime and gets me stuff all the time.
